Some very interesting discussions and educational activities have arisen from the hail storm that we had last Thursday. Children in the Room of Peace have been talking and learning about where hail comes from, how it is formed and the damage it can do. Mel, Teagan and Joshua are trying very hard to answer all the children’s questions about hail. These activities and discussions are helping the children to learn about and understand our ever changing weather in the world around us. These everyday discussions are helping in the children’s developmental progress. This learning fits in to our Early Learning Framework with a Montessori focus under the learning area of Cultural and the Study of Society and the Environment (SOSE) which includes land and water, matter and energy, water and gravity presentations and discussion.
