On Tuesday 20th April the children at Country Kids Early Learning Centre had a visit from Julie Murphy, the Health Nurse, who taught them about healthy eating and germ busting.
The children created smiley faces with bread, fruit, carrots and cheese to reinforce the idea of healthy eating and eating foods that are good for us. The smiley faces made it fun for the children to eat the healthy foods provided.
After eating the lovely creations Julie talked to everyone about germs and how to stop them from spreading. The children were shown how to wash their hands to make Bazza Bacteria and Georgie Germs go down the sink with Sally Suds and bring out Captain Clean Hands. The children were very interested and were participating in all the actions of washing hands and getting rid of the germs.
All of the children who participated in the talk received a Germ Buster’s Certificate stating that they became an official Germ Buster by learning how to bust germs by washing their hands properly and when to wash them.
A big thankyou to Julie Murphy for taking the time to come and teach the children about Healthy eating habits and germ busting.
